Bob DeRuse is the School Director for ACE High School (Academy for Career
Education) in Reno, NV. Bob is beginning his 33 rd year in public education at
the high school level. Bob was a high school math teacher in California and
Nevada for 16 years before taking his classroom experiences to the
administrative level for the past 17 years at ACE. Bob has served as the
assistant principal, principal, and is now the school director for ACE High
School. His extensive experience as an educational leader of a CTE (Career
Technical Education) charter high school gives him a vast understanding of
the impact this educational model has on a student’s future success and
career opportunities. Bob and the ACE staff have been at the forefront of
innovation in career; technical education at the secondary level in Nevada
with unmatched results. Under Bob’s leadership, ACE students have achieved
unparallel success at graduating career and college ready to meet the
challenges of an everchanging technical and high demand workforce. Bob
holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from San Diego State University
and master’s degrees in technology and educational leadership from Lesley
University and University of Phoenix.
